Using Heat Plumes in Controlled Breathing as Non-Contact Assistive Technology
نویسندگان
چکیده
The investigators will design a system that uses an infrared camera to record the heat plumes associated with different breathing patterns in controlled experiments and then develop computer algorithms to process and characterize these heat plumes. To accomplish this processing, the recorded heat plumes will be sampled to capture the temporal and spatial information contained in the heat plume. The investigators will then design an artificial neural network to process these samples and train it to recognize controlled and normal breathing patterns. The controlled heat plumes will then be associated with a unique vocabulary for each individual. These ANN designs will then be tested against a broad range of conditions.T

Collecting Heart Rate Using a High Precision, Non-contact, Single-Point Infrared Temperature Sensor
Remotely detecting the physiological state of humans is becoming increasingly important for rehabilitative robotics (RR) and socially assistive robotics (SAR) because it makes robots better-suited to work more closely and more cooperatively with humans. This research delivers a new non-contact technique for detecting heart rate in real time using a high precision, single-point infrared sensor. ...

Contamination of water resources with petroleum products is a serious environmental problem. The current study was carried out to investigate the effect of using raw and heat activated red mud (RM) as adsorbent to remove insoluble fraction of gasoline from aqueous solution. Some parameters such as pH, contact time, adsorbent dose and initial concentration were optimized in adsorption process to...
